Primary Stage Curriculum

At the primary stage, our comprehensive curriculum encompasses a range of subject areas, with English serving as the medium of instruction. Punjabi is introduced as the Second Language in Class I, while Hindi is introduced as the Third Language in Class III. The curriculum includes Mathematics, Environmental Studies (EVS), Science, Social Studies, Computer Studies, and Arts Education.

Mathematics is taught with a focus on reasoning, hands-on experiences, and real-life applications, enabling students to connect mathematical concepts to everyday life. Environmental Studies is taught as a separate subject in Classes I and II, and then integrated thematically beyond that. In Classes III-V, Science and Social Studies emerge as core areas, adopting a multi-disciplinary approach that explores concepts and concerns through various themes.

Computer Studies is designed to emphasize the effective use of technology in education, while Arts Education follows a theme-based approach that fosters creative expression, appreciation, and collaboration. Additionally, Yoga, Aerobics, Music, and Dance are integral components of the curriculum, promoting holistic development and well-being.

Upper Primary Stage Curriculum

The Upper Primary Stage curriculum encompasses a comprehensive range of subjects, including English, Punjabi (Second Language), Hindi, Mathematics, Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), History, Civics & Geography, Computer Studies, and Arts Education. English, as the medium of instruction, focuses on creative oral and written expression, cultivating critical thinking and literary appreciation.

Second Language learning emphasizes skill development and literary interest, while Mathematics concentrates on problem-solving techniques to consolidate and expand previous knowledge. Science branches into Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, enabling students to grasp key concepts and concerns.

In Social Studies, History & Civics and Geography are explored in-depth. Computer Studies equips students with essential ICT skills, enabling them to utilize technology and common software applications effectively.

RANKING AND GRADING SYSTEM

The school ranks students on the basis of their academic performance, without according weightage to subjects. The students are also placed into academic categories at the end of each school year following the annual examinations. Further information about the grading system can be found below:
