Remembering a Legend
The Yadavindra Public School fraternity deeply mourns the passing of Raja Randhir Singh - an illustrious Old Yadavindrian, five-time Olympian, Asian Games Gold Medalist, President of the Olympic Council of Asia, former Secretary General of the Indian Olympic Association, former Honourable Member of the YPS Board of Governors and one of India’s most distinguished sports administrators.
Having joined YPS in 1953 and completed his Senior Cambridge from the school in 1962, Raja Randhir Singh carried the spirit of YPS to the highest international sporting arenas. As a Member of the International Olympic Committee, his immense contribution towards strengthening and spreading the Olympic Movement across the world was deeply acknowledged and widely respected.
His remarkable achievements, visionary leadership and lifelong dedication to Indian and Asian sports brought immense pride to the nation and to his alma mater.
The entire YPS fraternity extends its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prays for eternal peace to the departed soul.
