Taking learning beyond the classroom, students of YPS Patiala visited the Mahendra Chaudhary Zoological Park for a meaningful conservation initiative.
In a proud moment for the institution, the school formally adopted an elephant named Hema under a special adoption programme graced by Mr Basanta Raj Kumar, Chief Wildlife Warden, Punjab.
Addressing the gathering, YPS, Patiala Headmaster, Mr Navin Kumar Dixit emphasized that true education goes beyond textbooks. Initiatives like animal adoption nurture compassion, responsibility, and real-world awareness among students.
The elephant, symbolising patience, wisdom, and steady strength, beautifully reflects the core values the school strives to instill in every learner. Marking another significant step toward holistic education, the Headmaster also announced the adoption of a tiger to create awareness among students for the conservation of endangered animals.
